La Fiesta de San Agustin del Tucson | Tuscon San Augustin Festival
In late August, downtown Tucson celebrates the long-ago founding of El Presidio de San Agustin del Tucson. La fiesta de San Agustin del Tucson is a one-day event on the patron saint of Tucson's day — Saint Augustine, that is. The Tuscon San Augustin Festival, as the celebration is also known, incorporates traditional Tucson foods, as well as southwestern art, music and crafts. A speaker series features experts knowledgeable about Arizona's cultural history.
